Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft has launched what it says is a redesigned and reengineered MSN Mobile service, which provides access to e-mail, news, sports, entertainment, movie listings, maps, search and other services all on one page. The new version automatically detects a user's handset type, and delivers pages optimized for that specific phone. The company plans to launch the service in other world markets this year, and is also pursuing alliances with operators to integrate MSN Mobile on their own WAP home pages.
