joint venture will exclusively preview Jay-Z's new album, "The Blueprint
3," for two weeks prior to its official release on Sept. 11. The preview

- The most effective, and least annoying ad format for short-form online video
is a five-second pre-roll, combined with a ten-second ad that overlays the
bottom one-third of the screen, according to a study conducted by Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV
Networks and InsightExpress. The test, run across more than 50 million video
streams on MTV-ownted sites, also examined the effectiveness of a 5-second
pre-roll coupled with a 10-second animated 'side-loader' -- or custom unit that
slides out of the right side of the screen during playback -- as well as a
30-second pre-roll ad.

application.

international HD channel, MTVNHD, which will debut later this month in six
European countries. The 24-hour, English-language channel will initially be
available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden, with plans
to expand into France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UK,
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela by the end of 2008. In
