Los Angeles - Musicbrigade, a Sweden-based distributor of music video content, has ceased operations and gone into administration, according to a note on the company's website.

London - Following the major label's announcement yesterday that it would provide DRM-free music for sale on retail giant Amazon.com's forthcoming digital music store, EMI Music said that it has additionally signed deals to provide its artists' tracks free of digital rights management to other European retailers. EMI will offer its catalog to VirginMega in France, as well as to Scandinavian services including Telenor, Musicbrigade, Inprodicon, Basepoint Media, Aspiro and Paragallo.

Stockholm - Musicbrigade, a Sweden-based digital music service provider, announced on Wednesday the launch of an online digital music service in Germany with partner RTL.de, an entertainment portal operated by the European TV broadcaster. The service will offer 1.5 million songs, licensed from all the major labels and many independents, in addition to Musicbrigade's catalog of more than 20,000 music videos. The companies said the joint service will be promoted with an extensive TV and online ad campaign.
