London - Struggling video game publisher Atari has sold off its European unit to Japan's Namco Bandai, MCV reports.

London - Japanese video game publisher Namco Bandai has signed a deal with Sony to use the Cell processor found in the PlayStation 3 to power an arcade game title, GamesIndustry.biz reported, citing an article in The Mainichi Daily News. The first arcade game to feature the Cell will be Namco Bandai's "Tekken 6," scheduled for release later this year. The company has previously used PlayStation 2 technology in older arcade machines.

Santa Clara, Calif. - Namco Bandai Games America announced on Tuesday that it has shipped its "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron" title for Sony PSP and the PC to retailers. Developed by Utah-based Smart Bomb Interactive, the game features more than 10 other Peanuts characters.

Santa Clara, Calif. - Japanese video game publisher Namco Bandai on Tuesday shipped its "The Fast and the Furious" title for PlayStation 2 to retailers. The game is based on the Universal Pictures film "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," which was released on DVD today.

Santa Clara, Calif. - Namco Bandai Games America on Wednesday shipped its "Curious George" title for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and the PC to retailers. Developed for consoles and the PC by Monkey Bar Games and for handhelds by Torus Games, the title is based on the Universal Pictures/Imagine Entertainment animated film, slated for release on Feb. 10.
