National CineMedia to Serve Ads for Hollywood Theaters

Centennial, Colo. - National CineMedia (NCM), a provider of in-theater digital advertising and programming to movie theaters, said on Tuesday that it has signed a deal to provide its services to Hollywood Theaters, the eighth-largest exhibitor in the U.S. Under the deal, NCM will provide pre-show advertising, comprehensive meetings and event services, and in-theater entertainment events.

National CineMedia to Bring "AudienceGame" to Theaters

Centennial, Colo. - National CineMedia, a provider of in-theater digital advertising and entertainment programming, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Brand Experience Lab to bring its "AudienceGame" interactive game to movie theater screens. The 'advergame' "is played by theater audiences moving together to act as a 'human joystick' to control the gaming elements on the big screen," the company said. Brand Experience Lab said its custom AudienceGames for clients including MSNBC.com in the U.S. and Volvo in the U.K. have generated up to 70% unaided recall with audiences.

Warner Bros. to Provide Content for NCM Digital Theater Network

Los Angeles - Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) Warner Bros. on Tuesday announced an agreement with National CineMedia (NCM), the operator of an in-theater digital ad and entertainment network, whereby Warner will provide original, exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming films for display before films in theaters served by NCM. The NCM Digital Content Network currently is seen on around 13,500 screens in 164 U.S. markets.

National CineMedia Renews Live Broadcast Deal With Metropolitan Opera

Centennial, Colo. - National CineMedia, a provider of in-theater digital programming and advertising services to movie exhibitors, announced on Thursday that it will once again beam live opera performances in HD from New York's Metropolitan Opera to U.S. theaters this season. The series will expand from six to eight live opera transmissions, and is expected to reach between 300 and 400 movie theater and performing arts center locations -- nearly triple the number of venues from last season.

National Amusements Taps National CineMedia for In-Theater Programming

Centennial, Colo. - National CineMedia (NCM), a provider of in-theater digital programming and advertising, said on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with movie exhibitor National Amusements, to offer live and pre-recorded events in 25 of its theaters in multiple U.S. markets. National Amusements will offer music, sports and other entertainment events from NCM's Fathom division over its Cinecast network. NCM said its Cinecast network will soon exceed 300 theaters, including many owned by NCM backers AMC, Cinemark USA and Regal Entertainment.

Health Club Digital Network IdeaCast Gets $7 Million

Centennial, Colo. - National CineMedia, the operator of an in-theater digital advertising and programming network, announced on Wednesday that it make an up to $7 million equity investment in IdeaCast, a digital media network in health clubs.

In-Theater Ad Network National CineMedia Taps Private Label Radio

Los Angeles - Private Label Radio, a division of DMI Music & Media Solutions that provides custom digital audio content, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to promote new music releases on National CineMedia's (NCM) in-theater ad network. Private Label Radio will broadcast its CinemaSounds pre-show program in over 14,000 U.S. theaters, and also produce a music video show for NCM's Lobby Entertainment Network, currently deployed in 670 theaters. DMI’s Private Label Radio also provides in-flight audio programming for United Airlines.

Theater Ad Distributor National CineMedia Raises $798 Million in IPO

Denver - National CineMedia, a distributor of pre-feature digital programming and advertising in movie theaters, on Thursday announced its initial public offering, which raised $798 million and saw shares rise as much as 26% in their first day of trading.

Discovery to Provide Content for National CineMedia Theater Ad Network

New York - National CineMedia, a provider of a network that delivers pre-feature digital ads and other programming in movie theaters, said on Wednesday that Discovery Communications has signed a multi-year agreement to provide short-form content for the service. National CineMedia's network includes 11,000 movie screens and reaches about 500 million patrons annually. Discovery said it will provide sneak peek segments of upcoming programs from its stable of channels.

National CineMedia to Screen Digital Concerts from Network LIVE

Denver - National CineMedia, a provider of alternative content for movie theaters with digital cinema systems, announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a content and cross-marketing agreement with Network LIVE, a joint venture of AOL, XM Satellite Radio and concert promoter AEG. Under the deal, Network LIVE will provide a series of branded programs each year as part of NCM's Big Screen Concerts, which are offered to 850 movie theaters. Previously, NCM has distributed Network LIVE productions of concerts from the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi in its participating theaters.
