TidalTV Signs Deal With National Geographic Ventures

Baltimore - TidalTV, a new broadband video startup from Advertising.com co-founder Scott Ferber, said that it has signed a deal with National Geographic Ventures to showcase programming from the National Geographic Channel (NGC) on its platform. The content, to be available when TidalTV launches in beta mode later this spring, will include full-length episodes from series such as "Taboo," "Critical Situation," "Man-Made" and "Wild," as well as clips from various other shows. Earlier this year, TidalTV raised $15 million in its first round of funding.

Washington - National Geographic Ventures (NGV), a unit of the National Geographic Society that creates and distributes the organization's content across multiple platforms, said on Thursday that it has launched National Geographic Music and Radio (NGMR).

Azureus P2P Service Signs National Geographic to Provide Video

Palo Alto, Calif. - Azureus, a provider of peer-to-peer file-sharing software based on BitTorrent, announced on Monday a partnership with National Geographic Ventures (NGV) to offer short- and long-form programming on its network. Under the deal, NGV will initially offer video content to U.K. users of the Zudeo service, with a North American launch to follow shortly. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Azureus, which claims 140 million downloads of its file-sharing software, has also signed BBC Worldwide, Bennett Media Worldwide and Starz Media to provide content on Zudeo.
