Naxos Debuts 320 Kbps, DRM-Free Classical Music Web Store

New York - Classical music label Naxos on Monday announced that its ClassicsOnline.com Web store now offers nearly 22,000 albums for purchase and download as 320 kbps, DRM-free files. The store offers music from more than 100 independent labels, priced at 99 cents per track and between $6.99 and $9.99 per album.

Didiom Launches Mobile Music Place-Shifting Service, MP3 Store

New York - Didiom on Wednesday announced the beta launch of its mobile application that allows users to wirelessly access their home computer's iTunes library on over 200 mobile devices, including BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones. The company also launched the Didiom Marketplace, an MP3 store that features over 1 million songs from providers such as CD Baby, Naxos and Saavn. The mobile music place-shifting application is free to download; MP3s at the store will cost $0.89 per song and $9.99 per album, or $1.39 per song and $12.99 per album if downloaded both to a phone and a PC.

Naxos Taps Digonex for Digital Music Dynamic Pricing Pilot

Indianapolis, Ind. - Digonex Technologies, a provider of optimized pricing platforms for e-commerce, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with classical music label Naxos to test dynamic pricing of select products next month. The Digonex platform will adjust song and album prices up or down, based on consumer demand, on an unnamed major online retail site.

Grooveshark Licenses Naxos Classical Catalog for Legal P2P Network

Gainesville, Fla. - Grooveshark, a peer-to-peer music network that compensates artists, has signed a licensing agreement to add tracks from classical music label Naxos to its service. Under the deal, more than 5,000 classical works will be made available on Grooveshark, where users pay no more than 99 cents to download DRM-free MP3 song files, and are rewarded for participation in the community -- such as writing revnews and allowing downloads from their computers.

eMusic, Naxos Partner on Classical Music Digital Box Sets

New York - Digital music service eMusic announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with classical music distributor Naxos of America to develop a series of downloadable classical music collections, which will also be packaged and sold as digital box sets at Borders stores nationwide.
