Warner Music Acquires Roadrunner Music Group for $73.5 Million

New York - Major record label Warner Music Group announced on Monday that it will pay about $73.5 million to acquire a majorirty stake in Netherlands-based Roadrunner Music Group, a label whose artists include Nickelback, Slipknot and Megadeth.

T-Mobile Taps Gemalto for Czech Mobile TV Service

Amsterdam - Gemalto, a Dutch developer of security cards for mobile phones, announced on Tuesday that its digital rights management cards will be used in a two-month pilot mobile TV service from T-Mobile in the Czech Republic. A commercial launch of the Czech mobile TV service is scheduled for 2007.
