JumpTV Rejects LiveVideo Offer in Favor of NeuLion Merger

Los Angeles - MySpace founder Brad Greenspan's LiveVideo Network venture this week made a $12.6 million offer for 25% of JumpTV, but the offer was turned down in favor of a previously announced merger agreement between JumpTV and NeuLion, Canada's Globe and Mail reported.

Toronto - JumpTV, a Toronto-based broadcaster of live and on-demand sports and international television programming over the Internet, announced on Monday that it will merge with NeuLion, an IPTV service that offers live and on-demand sports, international and religious programming over the Internet and through set-top boxes.

NHL Taps NeuLion to Offer Live Streaming Hockey Games

New York - The National Hockey League (NHL) announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Internet TV delivery provider NeuLion, to offer non-local games streamed live over the Internet. At the start of the 2007-08 season, subscribers to NHL Center Ice Online -- which will cost $169 for the season -- will be able to watch up to 40 games per week live online. Viewers will also be able to watch multiple games at once, and will have access to additional footage like morning skates, pre-game interviews and post-game commentary.
