Atrinsic Acquires Ringtone.com for $6.25 Million

New York - Digital advertising and entertainment network New Motion, Inc. (NASD: NWMO), which does business as Atrinsic, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the assets of Ringtone.com, a mobile entertainment portal, for $6.25 million in cash.

Irvine, Calif. - New Motion, a provider of mobile and gaming entertainment properties, announced on Thursday that it has agreed to merge with interactive marketing firm Traffix in an all-stock deal valued at $138.9 million.

Irvine, Calif. - MPLC, the parent company of digital entertainment publisher New Motion, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $10 million in a private placement of its shares.

Irvine, Calif. - New Motion, a provider of digital and mobile entertainment content, announced on Monday that it will acquire the mobile messaging assets of Mobliss, a unit of Japan's Index Corp., and launch an Asian-themed mobile entertainment portal in North America with Index Visual & Games.

Daniel Starr has been named to the newly created position of Vice President, Online Media, for digital entertainment company New MotionIn this position, Starr will oversee all of the company’s online media activities, including media buys, trend assessment, search engine optimization, tracking and analysis.  He will manage these functions for all three of New Motion, Inc’s divisions -- MobileSidewalk™, RingtoneChannel and Bid4Prizes. Starr joins New Motion, Inc. from his recent stint as president, west coast office for multi-million dollar Internet conglomerate CPX Interactive / BUDS Inc., where he helped establish the company’s West Coast presence.

IFILM, a division of Viacom's MTV Networks, announced today that Lowell Goss, the former head of user experience at Yahoo!, has been named Senior Vice President User Experience and Product Development. During his three years at Yahoo!, Goss created and managed a 45-person user experience design team for the Yahoo! Media Group business unit.
