Brooklyn, N.Y. - Outside.in, a personalized, hyperlocal news and conversation site, announced on Monday that it has raised an undisclosed sum of new funding, from existing venture and angel investors including Union Square Ventures, the New York City Investment Fund and Betaworks.

Brooklyn, N.Y. - Outside.in, the provider of a Web platform for neighborhood news and social networking, has raised $3 million in a round of venture capital, which included investments from Union Square Ventures, Milestone Venture Partners, New York City Investment Fund, Betaworks, and a group of angel investors led by George Crowley.

New York - Takkle, the provider of an online social network for high school sports, said on Monday that it has secured an undisclosed sum of additional financing, led by Sports Illustrated and the New York City Investment Fund.
