Los Angeles - GigaOmniMedia, the publisher of blogs including NewTeeVee and GigaOM, has raised about $1 million in its second round of venture capital financing, from True Ventures and several angel investors, Beet.tv reports. Televised game shows and live competitions with interactive elements have a particular appeal online. The NBC show "Deal or No Deal" managed to capture the most traffic to television show web sites during the important premiere week at the end of September, followed by ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."
