Mobile Video, Social Networking Firm Nexage Gets $500,000

Fremont, Calif. - Nexage, a provider of mobile video and social networking services, announced on Friday that it has received an additional $500,000 from angel investors, bringing its total funding so far to $2.5 million.

DivX Taps Nexage to Power Mobile Video Service

Fremont, Calif. - Mobile video delivery firm Nexage said on Thursday that it will power a new mobile video service from DivX, a developer of video compression technology and operator of a video-sharing service. The new mobile video service features content from DivX's own Stage6 video-sharing service, as well as from Google Video and Somagirls.tv.

Nexage Launches PhoneCast Mobile TV Offering

Bellevue, Wash. - Nexage, a Seattle-based developer of wireless software and services, on Thursday announced the launch of its PhoneCast mobile TV service for wireless network operators. PhoneCast allows content owners to broadcast their existing live channels or build new mobile TV channels to offer live TV, sportscasts or other live events, and insert ads or promotions into both live and on-demand mobile TV broadcasts.
