Mumbai, India - Nimbus Sport, an India-based online and mobile sports broadcaster, announced that it has acquired the rights to broadcast English Premier League soccer matches via Internet and mobile platforms in 80 countries for the next three years. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal includes much of Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Brazil and European nations including Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Belgium. "This is the first time that the Premier League has offered Internet rights separately from broadcast rights, and Nimbus Sport is delighted to be a pioneering commercial partner for the world’s leading football property," said Nimbus CEO Digvijay Singh. |
