Tokyo - SeeStorm, a developer of speech-to-motion and synthetic video conferencing technologies, announced on Wednesday that Japanese wireless network NTT DoCoMo has integrated the company's mobile 3D avatars into its Chara-Den service. Tokyo-based SeeStorm's technology lets mobile users turn camera phone photos into animated 3D characters ("avatars"). The characters can then represent callers on mobile video conference calls, where the animated character speaks based on the caller's real-time speech stream.
