Playboy Receives NYSE Delisting Notice

Chicago - Playboy Enterprises (NYSE: PLA) announced on Wednesday that it has received noticed from the New York Stock Exchange that it is not in compliance with minimum listing criteria, because its average market capitalization and shareholders' equity over the past month were below $75 million.

News Corp. Moving Shares From NYSE to Nasdaq

New York - Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation (NYSE: NWS) announced on Tuesday that it will move its shares from The New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq, effective Dec. 29. "Our move to NASDAQ will ensure that our stockholders have access to the most current trading technology possible. We are confident that NASDAQ's broad offerings and exceptional service, coupled with a cost-effective structure, will provide more value for our stockholders," said Reed Nolte, SVP of Investor Relations for News Corp.

Midway Games Receives NYSE Delisting Notice

Chicago - Video game publisher Midway Games (NYSE: MWY) said on Friday that last week it received notice from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) that its shares are in danger of being delisted from the exchange, for failing to maintain a minimum average closing price of $1 for 30 consecutive days.

Vivendi Universal to Delist From NYSE

Paris - Media conglomerate Vivendi Universal has announced plans to voluntarily delist itself from the New York Stock Exchange, a cost-saving move that would see its shares thereafter trade only in Paris. The company, whose holdings include Universal Music Group and Vivendi Universal Games, explained that less than 5% of its share trading over the past two years took place through the NYSE, while U.S. ownership of Paris-based shares has increased significantly.
