Future of Television Press Coverage

Buzz_Panel_FofTV The following is a selection of links to press coverage of last week’s fourth annual Future of Television Forum, produced by Digital Media Wire, The Consumer Electronics Association and NYU Stern School of Business. For example, PC Magazine noted that the event this year was “concerned less with short-term problems and more with long-term goals, the conference was heavy on ideas.” If you did not have the opportunity to attend, these articles report on some of those ideas about where the industry is headed:

A Thank You to Future of Television Forum Participants

Authored by Ned Sherman on November 20, 2006 - 10:16am.
Dear Future of Television Forum Participants,
Future of Television 2006 - LobbyThank you all for participating in the Future of Television Conference. We are really happy to have met a record number of 479 people who attended, with many staying all the way through the last panel on Friday afternoon! All of us on the Digital Media Wire team certainly appreciate the time and effort that everyone put into making the fourth annual Future of Television Forum the biggest and most successful event so far. We also want to particularly thank our co-hosts: The Consumer Electronics Association and the NYU Stern School of Business.

During the extended two-day event, many of the hottest issues, technologies and applications in the television, Internet and mobile video industry were discussed. We also got a reality check from big networks, where top executives from ABC, CBS and NBC gave the audience an update of what they have found to work and not work on new platforms, as well as on traditional television.

We very much look forward to hosting the conference again in New York City on November 15 and 16, 2007. To view editorial coverage and photos of the event, click here. We also welcome your ideas on how to grow the event in 2007. Please send your ideas to: television@digitalmediawire.com.

Finally, we hope to see you at our Digital Music Forum East in New York City on February 27 and 28.

Until then, keep updated on the latest industry news at www.dmwmedia.com and stay ahead!

Sincerely yours,
Ned Sherman
