Muze to Power Mobile Music Service for O2 Germany

New York - Muze, a provider of informational databases on music, movies, books and games, on Tuesday announced that its Open Media Exchange platform will be used to power a new subscription-based mobile music service for wireless carrier O2 Germany. Users can download directly over-the-air, or first to a PC and then transfer tracks to their phones. The service supports progressive playback, meaning consumers can listen to a song while it's being downloaded. Muze and O2 also partnered with MTV to offer MTV's Top Ten tracks of the week for dual-delivery download to PCs and mobile devices.

O2 Germany Launches Mobile Music Store With Nokia, Loudeye

Seattle - Loudeye, a provider of branded digital music stores and other digital media services, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Nokia and wireless carrier O2 Germany, to launch a mobile music download store for O2 Germany subscribers. The store also allows users to shop online and download tracks to a PC, in addition to via cell phone. O2 Germany claims more than 8 million subscribers in Germany.
