I-play Releases Official Olympics Mobile Game in Europe, North America

London - U.K. mobile game developer I-play on Friday announced the North American and European launches of its "Torino 2006: Official Mobile Phone Game of the Olympic Winter Games." The company secured the rights for the game from Sports Multimedia Ltd, the exclusive interactive entertainment licensee of the International Olympic Committee.

Olympic Snowboarder Shaun White Signs Video Game Deal with Ubisoft

San Francisco - French video game publisher Ubisoft announced that it has signed an agreement with Shaun White, the 19-year-old U.S. snowboarding halfpipe gold medalist from the 2006 Winter Olympics. Under the deal, Ubisoft will create snowboarding games for current and next-generation consoles featuring White, the first of which is slated for release in 2007.

Melodeo to Deliver Olympics Mobile Podcasts

Seattle - Melodeo, a distributor of entertainment content to cell phones, announced on Friday that it will offer daily podcasts from the Olympic Winter Games to mobile subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. Seattle-based Melodeo's Mobilcast service will provide podcasts covering medal counts, results and other content in Canada through Rogers Wireless, and in the U.S. through its Mobilcast.com website.
