PassAlong Debuts White-label Digital Store for Christian Music

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, a provider of white-label digital music stores and related services, announced on Monday that it partnered with EMI Christian Music Group to launch ChristianDigitalStore.com. The store will offer Christian music from EMI CMG, Warner's Word Entertainment, Sony BMG's Provident Music Group and independent labels. The company said the first retailer to sign on to use the service is Family Christian Stores, which operates over 300 locations in 37 states.

Much of the discussion centered on how the companies represented are trying to generate additional value (for fans, artists and themselves) from an ephemeral experience -- going to a concert. The consensus was there are many trails yet to be blazed in efforts to help artists better connect with, and maintain interactive relationships with fans, as well as get their music to both hardcore and potential new fans through new channels and new technologies.

Live Nation, a live event and venue management company, announced today that Lee Ann Gliha has been named Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance at Live Nation. Gliha will oversee the company's merger and acquisition activities, as well as the investor relations and planning areas. Gliha most recently worked at Banc of America Securities, where she covered clients in the media and telecommunications sectors.

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, a provider of a digital music download services, said on Thursday that it has added Gracenote's song identification technology to its PassAlong Mobile service for wireless, mobile and home connected media devices. The PassAlong Mobile service allows consumers to download tracks from mobile entertainment stores, and also share music recommendations between wireless devices.

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, which operates legal music file-sharing services, announced on Wednesday that it will power a digital song download store for USA Network's country music reality TV series, "Nashville Star". The site will offer live recordings of contestants and guest star performances throughout the season. Tennessee-based PassAlong also operates digital music stores for Musicland and Procter & Gamble.

PassAlong to Sell Custom CDs of P2P Selections in Retail Stores

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, the provider of a legal peer-to-peer file-sharing network with 1.6 million songs, on Tuesday introduced a service that will let consumers choose digital songs online and then pick up a custom CD of their selections at a nearby store within an hour. The company partnered with PhotoChannel Networks, which powers the online photo printing services offered by Wal-Mart Canada, CVS, Eckerd Drugs and Costco Canada, to deliver the custom CDs to customers. Tennessee-based PassAlong said the CDs will include customized jewel cases with track listings. The service is scheduled to launch later this year.

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, a provider of legal peer-to-peer music download services, announced on Wednesday that it has created a branded digital music download store for The Procter & Gamble Company. The "Julie's Jukebox" download store, offering a library of 1.1 million tracks, will be available on P&G's Home Made Simple website. Tennessee-based PassAlong Network's service also enables users to earn rewards points by passing or recommending purchased songs to others by IM or e-mail.

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, a provider of branded digital music download services, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with music retain chain Musicland -- which includes Sam Goody, Media Play and Suncoast Motion Picture Company stores -- to power its GrazeMusic.com online store. Tennessee-based PassAlong Networks will provide over one million tracks from major and independent labels for sale, as well as provide incentives for customers who pass purchased songs on via e-mail or instant messenger.

P2P Service PassAlong to Distribute CD Baby Artists

Franklin, Tenn. - PassAlong Networks, a provider of peer-to-peer digital music distribution technology for businesses, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with CD Baby, an online distributor of CDs by independent musicians, to make the CD Baby catalog available from digital music stores powered by PassAlong Networks. The agreement adds 650,000 tracks from over 65,000 independent artists to PassAlong, which also offers tracks from Warner, Sony BMG, Universal, EMI, The Orchard and IODA.
