Boulder, Colo. - New Frontier Media (NASD: NOOF), a producer and distributor of adult entertainment that operates adult video-on-demand services for cable and satellite operators, announced that it will launch the first HD adult VOD service with Penthouse Media Group early next year. The Penthouse-branded HD VOD service will initially be offered to over 2 million U.S. households. The companies will also offer a standard-definition Penthouse VOD service to 9 million households, and New Frontier said it is aiming to launch a Penthouse TV channel within the next 18 months.

Boca Raton, Fla. - Penthouse Media Group, the publisher of Penthouse Magazine, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Various, Inc., and its stable of social networking and dating sites that include AdultFriendFinder.com, for $500 million in cash and securities.
