Dallas - Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton this week signed a deal with ABC Radio Networks to host a twice-daily celebrity news radio feature that will be syndicated exclusively through ABC Radio Networks. The two-minute weekday feature will be broadcast by stations including WQHT (New York), KPWR (Los Angeles) and WBBM (Chicago) beginning on May 5. The deal was signed between ABC Radio and "C" Student Entertainment. Hilton also has a TV show, "What Perez Sez," on VH1.

Los Angeles - Gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who recently made a deal to help run a record label imprint with Warner Music, has announced a boycott of Sony BMG, in light of that label's pending copyright infringement lawsuit against him, Wired.com reports. Hilton posted unauthorized Britney Spears tracks on his website, prompting a lawsuit from Sony BMG label Zomba. Hilton says he will now no longer write about Sony BMG artists that he has covered in the past, which include Christina Aguilera, The Gossip, Justin Timberlake and Tori Amos. "Why should we help the company suing us make money???? Especially when their lawsuit is personal!" reads a note on PerezHilton.com. "We KNOW that our support can help their artists, some of our favorites, immensely. We hope alienating us was worth it for Sony BMG!"

Los Angeles - Gossip blogger Mario Lavandeira (aka Perez Hilton) has been negotiating a deal that would make him an A&R representative with major label Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG), complete with his own imprint at Warner Brothers Records, and a $100,000 advance against 50% of any profits generated by artists he brings to the label, people familiar with the prospective deal told The New York Times. Lavandeira's PerezHilton.com, where he sometimes posts album reviews and unreleased songs, attracts some 2.8 million visitors per month, according to comScore.

Paris Hilton entered jail on June 3 for violating her probation in a drunk-driving case. In true Paris fashion, she managed to make headlines even in jail, by going home for supposed medical reasons, re-entering jail, and talking to Barbara Walters about her newfound maturity. The gossip blogs, of course were flooded with commentary, rumors, and speculation about Paris' jail stay, as was the major news media. US traffic to TMZ and Hollywood Tuna was up 60% and 85% respectively, making this the third highest traffic week in celebrity news in the past year, after Anna Nicole Smith's death and Britney Spears' lack of wardrobe malfunctions.
