Washington - Television
remains the top news source for Americans, while younger people are relying
more heavily on Web sources and most consumers are reading fewer newspapers,
according to a biennial survey published by the Pew Research
Center. The report found
46% of U.S.
news consumers rely heavily on television; this group had a median age of 52,
and was the least affluent among those surveyed.
