Los Angeles - XPD Media, a start-up that is developing video games for multiple platforms, has raised over $2 million in its first round of financing, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

Boston - nTAG, a provider of management technology for the meetings and events industry, has raised $8.4 million in its second round of venture capital, led by Pilot House and Sevin Rosen.

Social Network Gather.com Raises $10 Million from Pilot House, Publishers

Boston - Online social network Gather.com announced that it has raised $10 million in a round of venture capital led by Pilot House Ventures. Other investors in the deal include Hearst Corp., The McGraw-Hill Cos. Jack Connors, chairman of Hill Holliday and Gather.com CEO Tom Gerace.
