Seattle - Oberon Media, a publisher of casual online and mobile games, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired PixelPlay, a developer and distributor of interactive TV games.

New York - Interactive TV games developer PixelPlay announced on Wednesday that it partnered with New Line Cinema to launch an interactive game for the studio's upcoming film "How to Eat Fried Worms." The title is available on PixelPlay's DishGAMES interactive games channel on satellite TV provider EchoStar's DISH Network service.

Englewood, Colo. - EchoStar Communications, operator of the DISH Network satellite TV service, announced on Friday that it has expanded its interactive TV offering, with the addition of an interactive TV games application called DishGAMES.

PixelPlay Creates Olympics Interactive TV App for DISH Network

New York - PixelPlay, a developer of interactive TV programming, announced on Thursday that it has created an interactive TV application for use with satellite TV provider DISH Network's 2006 Winter Olympics coverage. The application lets viewers click to receive up-to-the-minute medal counts, TV listings, athlete biographies and a Team USA report.

PixelPlay to Develop World Poker Tour Interactive TV Games

New York - PixelPlay, a developer of interactive TV games and entertainment, announced on Monday that it has signed a license agreement with WPT Enterprises, for the rights to develop and publish World Poker Tour-branded casino games for interactive TV platforms. New York-based PixelPlay's first titles will include two single-player interactive Texas Hold 'Em games and a multiplayer interactive Texas Hold 'Em game, with additional titles planned for release in 2007.
