Motley Crue to Release New Single in "Rock Band" Game

Los Angeles - Rock band Motley Crue said on Tuesday that it is the first group to release a new single, "Saints of Los Angeles," for sale through the video game "Rock Band." The song will be made available for purchase as an add-on to the game for 99 cents through both Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace and Sony's PlayStation Store.

Sony Launches Redesigned PlayStation Store

Foster City, Calif. - Sony Computer Entertainment America on Tuesday announced the launch of a redesigned PlayStation Store for its PlayStation 3, which is now a native application on the game console rather than a Web-based storefront. The store now features quicker navigation and an expanded library of nearly 900 pieces of content, including over 70 downloadable games, as well as game demos and videos, and HD movie trailers. Sony counts more than 3.6 million registered PlayStation Network accounts in North America.

Sony Announces Upcoming Q2 Titles for PlayStation, PSP

Foster City, Calif. - Sony Computer Entertainment America on Thursday announced the roster of more than 100 first- and third-party game titles slated for release in the second quarter of 2007 for its PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2 platforms. New PS3 titles include Sony's own "MLB 07 The Show," "Spider-Man 3" (Activision) and "The Darkness" (2K Games). Available for download to the PS3 via the online PlayStation Store will be games such as "Joust" and "Mortal Kombat II." A full list of forthcoming games is available from a link below.
