Video Podcast Network PodTech Acquired for Under $500,000

Los Angeles - PodTech, a publisher of video podcasts about new technology that raised over $7.5 million in venture capital, has been sold for less than half a million dollars to ViewPartner, a holding company of multimedia technologies, VentureBeat reported.

Menlo Park, Calif. - Podcast distributor PodTech Network announced this week the launch of a new podcast hosted by Jason Calcanis, the founder of Weblogs and Rising Tide Studios. The weekly CalcanisCast podcast will feature Calcanis' and his guests' insights on new media and technology trends, and launches with GoDaddy.com as a founding sponsor. The podcast will provide over $100,000 in first year scholarships to Brooklyn's Bay Ridge Preparatory School.

Menlo Park, Calif. - PodTech, a producer, aggregator and distributor of professional podcast content, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Geek Entertainment TV, a video blogging site.
