Westwood, Mass. - Turbine, a developer and publisher of multiplayer online games, is raising a $40 million third round of venture capital financing, led by Granite Global Ventures, PEHub.com reported.

Los Angeles - Modelina, a stealth-mode site that will focus on supermodels, has received around $5 million in financing from Polaris Venture Partners, PaidContent.org reported.

New York - Automattic, the developer of the WordPress blog publishing software, has raised $29.5 million in new financing from Polaris Venture Partners, True Ventures, Radar Partners and The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), The Times reported.

San Francisco - Quantcast, a provider of open Internet ratings for websites, widgets and videos, has raised $20 million in its second round of funding, led by Founders Fund and Polaris Venture Partners.

Washington - ARPU, the developer of a point-of-sale advertising network, has raised $8.7 million in its third round of funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Santa Monica, Calif. - JibJab, the digital entertainment studio behind such viral comedy videos as "This Land Is Your Land," has raised $3 million in its second round of venture capital financing, from Polaris Venture Partners, PEHub.com reported.
