MLB Reveals Live Video Streaming Stats for Playoffs

Los Angeles - Major League Baseball Advanced Media said that it served an average of 350,000 live streams during each game of the first round of the playoffs on its $9.95 Postseason.TV subscription service, PaidContent reports. The live video streams include 314,000 served to computers via MLB.com, and 36,000 served to iPhone and iPod touch devices; another 88,000 audio-only streams were also delivered.

New York - Major League Baseball will introduce a new interactive online viewing service tomorrow, Postseason.TV, that will let fans customize from up to 10 different stationary camera angles from every postseason baseball game. The service, to be made available for a one-time fee of $9.95, is also backed by Turner Sports and Fox Sports, and will be free from blackout restrictions.
