China's PPLive to Offer Live Video Webcasts of Olympic Events

Shanghai, China - PPLive, a provider of peer-to-peer-based Internet TV broadcasting and online video streaming in China that claims over 100 million users worldwide, said on Monday that it has signed a deal with China Central Television's CCTV.com, to provide live online broadcasts of Olympic sporting events, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies.

Chinese Web Video Firm PPLive Raises $10 Million

Shanghai - PPLive, a provider of peer-to-peer-based, Web video distribution services and unit of China's Synacast Media, has raised an estimated $10 to $15 million in its third round of venture capital financing, led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Dragon Venture, RedlineChina reported.
