Report: Microsoft Project Natal Game System May Cost $50

London - Microsoft's (NASD: MSFT) forthcoming gesture-based gaming system, codenamed Project Natal, could launch in November 2010 with a price tag of just $50, Britain's MCV reported, citing demonstrations of the technology Microsoft is providing U.K. studios in a bid to encourage developer support.

Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) on Thursday announced plans to drop the price of its Xbox 360 video game consoles, knocking $100 off the cost of its 120GB Elite model, which will now sell for $300.

Los Angeles - Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) introduced "Project Natal," a motion-sensing camera controller accessory for the Xbox 360, on Monday at the E3 video game convention in Los Angeles. "The 'Project Natal' sensor is the world's first to combine an RGB camera, depth sensor, multi-array microphone and custom processor running proprietary software all in one device," the company said.
