San Francisco - Sega of America on Thursday shipped its "Full Auto 2: Battlelines" title for PlayStation 3 to retailers. The sequel in the car combat game franchise was developed by Pseudo Interactive.

Electronic Arts to Publish "Burnout Dominator" in 2007

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts announced on Thursday that its EA UK studio is currently at work on "Burnout Dominator," the latest installment in the racing game franchise. The title is slated to ship in 2007 for PlayStation 2 and the PSP.

Sony Releases "ATV Offroad Fury Pro" for PSP

San Diego - Sony Computer Entertainment America on Thursday shipped its "ATV Offroad Fury Pro" title for the PSP to retailers. The game was developed by Climax Racing. Sony added that "ATV Offroad Fury 4" for PlayStation 2 is slated to ship on Oct. 31.

Disney's Buena Vista Games Acquires Developer Climax Racing

Burbank, Calif. - Disney's Buena Vista Games announced on Thursday that it has acquired U.K.-based video game developer Climax Racing from Climax Group Ltd. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Climax Racing is responsible for titles including the "MotoGP" and "ATV Offroad Fury" franchises. Climax becomes Buena Vista Games' third internal studio, alongside Vancouver-based Propaganda Games and Salt Lake City-based Avalanche Software. "The acquisition of Climax Racing aligns perfectly with our strategic and geographic goals by allowing us to both reach into new genres and new markets for creative talent," said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager of Buena Vista Games.

Santa Clara, Calif. - Japanese video game publisher Namco Bandai on Tuesday shipped its "The Fast and the Furious" title for PlayStation 2 to retailers. The game is based on the Universal Pictures film "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," which was released on DVD today.

Atari Ships "Test Drive Unlimited" for Xbox 360 to Retailers

New York - Atari on Tuesday shipped its "Test Drive Unlimited" title for Xbox 360 to retailers. The game will include a 48-hour free trial membership to Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold online game service.
