Trade Pubs Radio & Records, Performing Songwriter to Close

New York - Music industry trade publication Radio & Records will shut down after 36 years in operation and lay off all 40 staff members, Hypebot reported. The magazine's airplay charts will be added to Billboard Magazine. Also shuttering this month is Performing Songwriter, which debuted in 1993.

Billboard Parent VNU Acquires Trade Paper Radio & Records

Haarlem, Netherlands - VNU, the Netherlands-based global information and media company that owns Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter and other trade publications, announced on Thursday that it has acquired radio industry trade magazine Radio & Records.
