Video Site GoFish Adds Music Content From Rehearsals.com

San Francisco - Internet video network GoFish announced on Tuesday that it has added a library of live, high-definition music performances, clinics and recording sessions through an agreement with Rehearsals.com. The two companies will share revenue from GoFish sponsorships and advertising of Rehearsals.com videos.

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging Corp. announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement to feature live music performance videos from its Rehearsals.com site on Joost, the streaming P2P service launched by the creators of Skype and Kazaa. Video of artists -- including Tom Petty, Norah Jones and James Taylor -- performing in a studio space in preparation for tours and recording will be made available on Joost.

Movielink Adds Music Content From Rehearsals.com, Egami, DMGI

Santa Monica, Calif. - Movielink, a studio-backed movie download service, announced on Wednesday that it has added live music concerts to its offering, through deals signed with CenterStaging Musical Productions, Digital Music Group (DMGI) and Egami Media. CenterStaging's Rehearsals.com will provide footage of recording sessions and interviews with artists including Chris Isaak and Fenix TX, while Egami will offer shows from Johnny Cash and Kiss, and DMGI will add its "Masters of Rock" series, featuring artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The deals also include TV shows and films from Egami ("Assault on Precinct 13," "The Dick Van Dyke Show") and DMGI ("I Spy," "Gumby and Friends").

Rehearsals.com Parent CenterStaging Raises $3 Million

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging, the parent company of Rehearsals.com, a site that streams video of artists preparing for tours and recording sessions, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $3 million through a private placement of its shares with two undisclosed investors.

Rehearsals.com to Stream Taylor Hicks Live Performances

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging announced on Thursday that footage of "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks rehearsing in its studio space will be posted online tomorrow at its Rehearsals.com site. The private rehearsal was taped in early October using the company's space that features 10 robotically-controlled HD cameras and 48 microphones, and will be available for on-demand streaming on its site. Burbank, Calif.-based CenterStaging's Rehearsals.com has also featured live in-studio rehearsal performances from artists including Tom Petty, Chris Isaak and The Panic Channel.

MLBAdvanced Media’s (MLBAM) hiring yesterday of Kenneth Gersh, as SVP of Business Development, marked a good excuse for a baseball fan to get an update on the pervasively expanding digital media empire. Though Gersh won’t be starting his new position until September 18, I spoke with Jim Gallagher, their SVP of Corporate Communications, to get a better idea of what Gersh will be focusing on in his new position.

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging, a developer of digital video and music entertainment content, announced on Monday that its Rehearsals.com will provide high-definition digital production for NBC's new "battle of the bands" reality series, "StarTomorrow." The company will provide weekly streaming broadcasts of the series, as well as the ability for viewers to vote for their favorite group, which will win a development and distribution deal with Warner Music Group.

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging, a digital entertainment publisher, announced on Monday that it has partnered with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to launch Rehearsals.com, a site that will showcase musical artists as they prepare for concert tours, TV appearances and recording sessions. MLB.com built and will power the site, in addition to linking to and marketing Rehearsals.com to its baseball fan visitors. In addition to exclusive footage from artists including The New Cars, Earth, Wind & Fire, Panic Channel, the Pussycat Dolls and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Rehearsals.com will offer music news and weekly profiles with musicians in an original series called "Lessons from the Legends."
