ReverbNation, Audiolife Offer On-Demand Stores for Artists

New York - ReverbNation, an online music marketing platform used by over 450,000 artists, labels, managers and venues, announced that it has partnered with Audiolife, a developer of direct-to-consumer ecommerce services. Under the deal, Audiolife will power a new Reverb Store that wil let artists and record labels design an unlimited number of physical and digital products online, and them offer them for sale on-demand to fans -- without having to pay up front to generate inventory.

ReverbNation Offers Artists Cash in 'Sponsored Songs' Promotion

New York - ReverbNation, a provider of online music marketing services, on Wednesday announced a new Sponsored Songs program that will provide up to 1,000 artists the opportunity to earn money when their songs are downloaded by fans. Each song will incorporate "a small section of branded messaging within the digital cover art," with the artist paid 50 cents for each qualified download. The songs will also be "tracked as they are passed from fan to fan allowing the brand sponsor to capture ongoing value as the music is shared virally."

ReverbNation Adds Digital Distribution via iTunes, Amazon

New York - ReverbNation, an online marketing and promotions platform for musicians and labels, on Tuesday announced that it has added a service that distributes digital music from its users to iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster and eMusic for a flat fee of $34.95. The distribution tool is powered by independent digital music distributor INgrooves. Currently, over 250,000 musicians, labels, managers and venues use ReverbNation's widgets and other Web marketing and promotional tools.

New York - ReverbNation, the provider of an online marketing and promotion platform for musicians, labels and venues, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $3 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by new investor ETF Venture Funds.

ReverbNation Concert Tour to Feature Local Urban Artists Chosen Online

New York - ReverbNation.com, a provider of online music marketing tools for artists, said on Wednesday that it has partnered with digital music registry Snocap on a ten-city tour that will feature artists selected through a submission process handled by the two companies. A&R representatives from Bad Boy Entertainment, Rawkus Records, UnAuthorized/Asylum and Imperial Records will help select 10-12 artists from each tour city to perform as part of the ReverbNation "New Blood" Urban Showcase Series.

eMinor Online Social Network for Indie Musicians Raises $2 Million

Durham, N.C. - eMinor, a provider of software tools and services to independent musicians, has raised $2 million in its first round of venture capital, led by Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Southern Capitol Ventures. Durham, N.C.-based eMinor is developing an online music community, called ReverbNation, which features social networking and "music-discovery" tools for artists, fans, venues, and record labels. The website is scheduled for public release in the fall.
