Revver to Syndicate Revision3 Internet TV Shows

Los Angeles - Internet TV network Revision3 announced on Wednesday that it has signed a deal to syndicate its original content on video site Revver. Revver will share ad revenue with Revision3 generated by shows such as "Diggnation" and "The Totally Rad Show."

Web TV Net Revision3 Hit by Anti-Piracy Firm MediaDefender

Los Angeles - The FBI is reportedly investigating MediaDefender, an anti-piracy firm often hired by record labels and movie studios, after the company allegedly initiated a denial of service attack last weekend against Revision3, a legitimate online TV network. In a blog post, Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback recounted the events, noting that the attack focused on the server the company uses to seed content on the BitTorrent file-sharing network -- which also happens to be used for illegal file-sharing.

Think about it, these videos are not just viral branding for the companies but also smart recruitment tools...

Revision3 Web TV Show to Highlight Highest-Rated Digg Videos

San Francisco - Internet TV network Revision3 on Thursday launched The Digg Reel, a weekly program that will showcase the highest-rated user-submitted videos on aggregation site Digg.com. Hosted by Jessica Corbin, the show will collect the videos as well as take viewers behind the scenes to meet their creators.

Sony Pictures Television International announced today that Sander Schwartz has been appointed president, international production, and becomes head of SPTI's global production group. This appointment is a result of the expansion of SPTI's local language production efforts, which to date have produced over 9,000 hours of programming in over 30 countries in 13 languages. SPTI is the division of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) responsible for all television, mobile and digital distribution businesses outside of the United States.

San Francisco - Revision3, an Internet TV programming network, announced on Monday that it has raised $8 million in a second round of venture capital financing, led by Greylock Partners.

San Francisco - The founders of user-aggregated news site Digg.com on Tuesday announced the launch of a new Internet TV network company, Revision3. The venture will develop and distribute original music, science, technology and comedy programming. Revision3 has raised close to $1 million in financing from investors including Netscape founder Marc Andreessen and Greylock Partners, The New York Times reported. Revision3 already broadcasts shows such as "Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht's Diggnation," "Geekdrome," "Ctrl + Alt + Chicken," "Systm," "InDigital," "Infected" and "thebroken" -- which have been downloaded a combined over 15 million times. The company's programming is available for download from its own website, as well as from iTunes, BitTorrent and other sources.
