MySpace, Rogers Wireless to Offer MySpace Mobile in Canada

Los Angeles - News Corp.'s MySpace online social network on Tuesday announced a partnership with Canadian mobile operator Rogers Wireless, to offer MySpace functionality on select mobile phones to Rogers customers. The service lets users post comments or blog entries, search for friends, respond to mail, edit their profiles and view bulletins.

RealNetworks' WiderThan to Power Mobile Music for Helio, Rogers Wireless

Orlando, Fla. - WiderThan, a unit of RealNetworks that delivers mobile entertainment services, announced on Monday that it has signed new deals to power mobile music services for Helio and Rogers Wireless. WiderThan's Music-on-Demand platform will allow Helio Music members to download full tracks and ringback tones over-the-air to their phones. The platform will also be used by Canada's Rogers Wireless to power the company's MusicStore, which offers both a la carte and subscription-based downloads.

Canada's Rogers Wireless, Melodeo to Offer Mobile Podcasts

Seattle - Canadian mobile network operator Rogers Wireless, which claims 5.9 million subscribers, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with Seattle-based Melodeo to launch a mobile podcast service. The Rogers Podcast Service will offer subscribers access to more than 1,500 podcasts covering a range of topics, which can be downloaded over-the-air directly to their cell phones for CDN $5 (U.S. $4.38) per month.
