- Video game publisher Konami has acquired the rights to create games based on
Lionsgate's "Saw" horror film franchise, Variety reported. The rights
were up for grabs in the wake of the demise of movie-adaptation-focused
developer Brash Entertainment. Konami plans to release its first title in the
fall, alongside the sixth installment of the movie.

Hollywood, Calif. - Video game developer Brash Entertainment said on Wednesday that it plans to publish a video game based on the "Saw" horror film franchise from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures in October 2009. The "Saw" game will utilize the Unreal 3 game engine, and be developed for next-generation platforms. |
