Los Angeles - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment said on Friday that it will publish a version of "Scarface: The World Is Yours," based on the classic Universal Pictures gangster film, for the Nintendo Wii this summer. The company said it has already sold 1.5 million units of the title worldwide on other platforms. Los Angeles - Disney's Starwave Mobile this week introduced the mobile game, voicetones, graphics and wallpapers it developed in collaboration with Universal Mobile Entertainment for the classic 1980's gangster film, "Scarface." The content is available through wireless carriers and directly through a Scarface mobile storefront. Separately, Starwave announced a publishing agreement with SMK Merchandising to publish mobile content based on the Wayans Brothers film "The Dozens." The company also secured licensing rights from Beyonce Inc. and Sony BMC to develop and publish a mobile game featuring the Grammy-winning singer, that will also feature sisters Dereon and Solange.

Los Angeles - Sierra Entertainment, a unit of Vivendi Games, said on Friday that it will ship its "Scarface: The World Is Yours" title, based on the classic 1983 gangster film, for PlayStation 2, Xbox and the PC to retailers on Oct. 8. A version for the Sony PSP, "Scarface: Money. Power. Respect.," will ship later in October.

Los Angeles - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment unit said on Thursday that its "Scarface: The World Is Yours" will feature the voice talent of actors from the 1983 film including Robert Loggia, Steven Bauer and Al Israel, in addition to James Woods, Ice T, Ricky Gervais and Cheech Marin. The game will ship in the fall for PlayStation 2, Xbox and the PC. Separately, Sierra said that Day 1 Studios and Monolith Productions are currently developing a version of their "F.E.A.R." title for Xbox 360, which will be on display at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Los Angeles - Vivendi Universal Games said on Tuesday that it has partnered with News Corp.'s MySpace social networking site on a nationwide talent contest that will place an unsigned artist's song in its upcoming "Scarface: The World Is Yours" video game. The winner will also be an opening act at a VU Games concert, to be held in May during the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Separately, VU Games' Sierra Entertainment publishing label on Tuesday said it shipped its "SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate" PC game expansion pack to retailers.
