San Francisco - Creative Commons, a nonprofit that advocates for less restrictive copyrights, has received a gift of $500,000 from Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his wife, Anne Wojcicki, co-founder of 23andMe.

Mountain View, Calif. - Google (NASD: GOOG) revealed in a regulatory filing that it has invested another $2.6 million in 23andMe, a developer of DNA analysis technologies co-founded by Anne Wojcicki, the wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

Google Makes Gmail Web-based E-mail Available to All

Mountain View, Calif. - Google has made its Gmail Web-based e-mail service available to all users, following a three-year stint where new users had to be invited to join by an existing user, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.
