Setanta Sports, Verizon to Offer Mobile Video of Rugby World Cup

New York - Setanta Sports North America, which owns broadcast rights to several major sports leagues, said on Thursday that it will offer mobile video clip footage of the 2007 Rugby World Cup on Verizon Wireless' V CAST Video service. The deal includes up to eight video clips from each televised match.

DISH Network Launches Setanta Sports Channel

Englewood, Colo. - EchoStar Communications, operator of the DISH Network satellite TV service, said on Thursday that it has added Setanta Sports' programming package -- which includes more than 1,000 live events, including U.K. and European soccer -- to its offering. The Setanta Sports channel will be available for $14.99 per month to residential subscribers, and $100 per month for business subscribers.

Setanta Sports, Servecast to Offer Champions League Webcasts in U.S.

Dublin, Ireland - Setanta Sports, an international TV sports broadcaster, announced on Monday that it has partnered with new media firm Servecast, to offer the first live Champions League Football matches streamed over the Internet in the U.S. and Ireland. Setanta will offer a broadband subscription service that includes live and archived matches, video news, player interviews and highlights packages for the Champions League, an annual international competition that features Europe's most successful football clubs.
