New York - Mobile game publisher Gameloft announced on Monday that it has signed an agreement with pro tennis player Lleyton Hewitt, who will be featured as cover athlete and as a character in its first tennis title. "Tennis Open 2007 feat. Lleyton Hewitt" is now available through 160 networks in 70 countries.

Sega Signs Actress Lacey Chabert as Voice Talent for "Sonic" Game

San Francisco - Sega of America and Sega Europe said on Friday that actress Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five," "Mean Girls") has been cast in the role of Princess Elise in Sega's new "Sonic The Hedgehog" game. It will mark the first time in the history of the popular Sonic franchise that Hollywood talent will voice one of the characters. The game is scheduled for release this holiday season on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.

Jay-Z to be Unlockable Character in Electronic Arts' "NBA Live 07"

Canton, Mass. - Electronic Arts has signed hip-hop artist and producer Jay-Z to appear as an unlockable character in its "NBA Live 07" title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As part of the deal, gamers who purchase Reebok's new S. Carter Basketball IV shoe at Champs Stores will receive a special code to unlock Jay-Z's character within the game. The rapper will also be available as a free agent to join teams in the game's Season and Dynasty modes.

Electronic Arts Signs Hilary Duff, Her Dog to Appear in "The Sims 2 Pets"

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Thursday that actress and singer Hilary Duff and her pet Chihuahua, Lola, will playing starring roles in its new video game, "The Sims 2 Pets," scheduled for release on Oct. 17. Duff and Lola will appear in different scenes on each of the platforms the game will be released on -- PlayStation 2, GameCube, Nintendo DS and the PC.
