New York - Sirius XM Radio (NASD: SIRI) said yesterday that it has received a notice from the Nasdaq that its shares are in danger of being delisted from the exchange, as they have closed below the $1 minimum share price requirement for 30 consecutive business days.

New York - Sirius XM (NASD: SIRI), the satellite radio firm with major operations in DC, on Saturday launched The Michael Jackson Tribute Channel, honoring the pop music icon who died last week. The limited-run channel, featuring Jackson's music, as well as interviews and stories from other artists, will air through midnight Monday on Sirius channel 51 and XM channel 62.

New York - Hoping to give a boost to its lagging subscriber base, Sirius XM (NASD: SIRI) on Thursday launched its long-awaited application for the Apple (NASD: AAPL) iPhone and iPod touch. The free app will give those who subscribe to Sirius and XM's Internet services access to 120 satellite radio channels through their mobile devices. The app also allows users to purchase a song being played through iTunes, tab channels as "favorites" and quickly scan programming on all channels through a multi-touch user interface. Sirius XM reported 18.6 million subscribers at the end of the quarter, down from 19 million at the end of last year.

The list, compiled by 24/7 Wall St., includes products and companies that "clearly miss the mark of living up to the potential that its creators expected."

Washington - Averting possible bankruptcy, satellite radio provider Sirius XM (NASD: SIRI) on Tuesday reached an 11th-hour deal with Colorado-based Liberty Media (NASD: LINTA), which has agreed to loan the company $530 million in exchange for preferred shares convertible into a 40% equity stake. The deal allows Sirius XM to immediately repay $171.6 million in notes -- mainly owned by Liberty's chief rival, EchoStar (NASD: SATS) -- that were due on Tuesday.

Washington - Unlikely to find a way to repay its looming debts, satellite radio provider Sirius XM (NASD: SIRI) has hired advisors to help it prepare for a possible bankruptcy filing, The New York Times reported. The company currently is saddled with about $3.25 billion in debt, owing $175 million of it at end of this month, as well as another $400 million in December.
