Yahoo Moves European HQ From London to Geneva

Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) is planning a move of its European headquarters from London to Geneva, Switzerland, for tax reasons. Some 70 of its top managers in the UK are told to relocate or lose their jobs, according to Financial Times (FT).

Fareham, England - 3Bill, a unit of Web and mobile software developer Symbios Solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired social network platform Faces for an undisclosed sum.

Ezmo Launches Social Music Network Service in U.S.

Oslo, Norway - Ezmo on Wednesday announced the launch of its online social music network in the U.S. market. The free online music player and social networking service lets consumers upload their entire music libraries to the Web, and share tracks with up to ten friends. Norway-based Ezmo is a subsidiary of enterprise search technology firm Fast Search & Transfer.

Analysis: Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer Says Facebook Might Be “A Fad”

This is interesting - Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is quoted in TimesOnline saying that he believes the craze for individual social networks such as Facebook risks being exposed as a “fad." Either he is trying to put pressure on Facebook (Microsoft is negotiating to buy a 5% stake in the company according to rumors) or it is just another Ballmer foot-in-mouth classic.
