Report: Spammers Shifting From Email to Social Networks

Burlington, Mass. - Five years after Bill Gates predicted spam would be eradicated, it remains a major problem for computer users as spammers have focused increased attacks on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter during the last quarter, according to a report from IT security firm Sophos.

Survey: Increasing ID Theft Risk, Facebook Users Add Stranger as "Friend"

Abingdon, U.K. - A recent survey of Facebook social network users found that 41% will divulge personal information to a complete stranger, "greatly increasing their susceptibility to identity theft," according to the report from Sophos, a provider of security software.
