Santa Monica, Calif. - Game developer id Software and publisher Activision on Tuesday shipped their "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" PC game to North American retailers. Developed by Splash Damage, the latest installment in the popular franchise supports multiplayer action for up to 24 gamers online. The game is also in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Santa Monica, Calif. - Publishers Activision and id Software, and developer Splash Damage announced on Thursday that their "Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars" PC game has gone gold, and will ship to retailers in Europe and Australia on Sept. 28, and in North America on Oct. 2. The game, which has already garnered more than 15 industry awards, is also in development for Xbox 360 at Nerve Software, and for PlayStation 3 at Activision Foster City.

The team-based, first person action title is being developed for PS3 by Nerve Software, and for Xbox 360 by Z-Axis; Activision and id already announced that the PC version of the title is being developed by Splash Damage.
