to the popular Flip video camera, noting that it is a fifth as thick as the Flip,
and one-tenth of its volume. The new nano -- which will sell for $149 (8GB) and
$179 (16GB) -- will now also sport a larger 2.2-inch display and built-in

Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google (NASD: GOOG), on Monday announced his resignation from
Apple's board of directors. Schmidt had served on the company's board since
mid-2006. In recent months, however, Google has begun competing in Apple's
space, with the launch of its Android operating system -- used on mobile phones
that compete with the iPhone -- and the planned launch of its new Chrome
operating system.

"now recovering well and has an excellent prognosis" after receiving
a liver transplant, the Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute,
which performed the procedure, said in a statement on its website. While the
hospital did not disclose when the operation was performed, the Wall Street
Journal, which was the first to report on the matter, said it was about two
months ago.
