2K Ships "Stronghold Legends" PC Game

New York - 2K, a unit of video game publisher Take-Two Interactive, on Tuesday shipped its "Stronghold Legends" PC title to retailers in North America and Europe. The latest installment in the real-time strategy game franchise was developed by Firefly Studios.

Electronic Arts Acquires German Game Developer Phenomic

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Wednesday that it has acquired German game developer Phenomic for an undisclosed sum. Phenomic Game Development, which will now be known as EA Phenomic, is a creator of real time strategy games for the PC, console and online.

Midway Games Ships "Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War"

Chicago - Midway Games on Monday shipped its "Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War" PC game to retailers. The real-time strategy title features a multiplayer mode for up to eight players.
