AOL Music Integrates StubHub Ticket Marketplace

San Francisco - StubHub, the secondary ticket marketplace owned by eBay, announced that it has partnered with Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) AOL Music, which will integrate its Fan to Fan marketplace into AOL Music to offer users instant access to tickets. The deal will enable AOL Music users to buy or sell concert tickets from almost every page of the site.

Ticketseller StubHub Expands ESPN Partnership

San Francisco - Online ticket marketplace StubHub said on Thursday that it has expanded its relationship with cable sports network ESPN. A year after launching its service across ESPN.com, StubHub said that the partnership now will include television, radio, mobile and more robust online components, as well.

Analysis: Ticketmaster Leads Online Ticket Reselling Traffic For Hannah Montana

Ticketmaster has purchased secondary market ticket seller TicketsNow.com (WSJ cites price of $265 million) in an effort to capture (and share with partner venues, artists, etc.) more revenue from ticket reselling. This move will help Ticketmaster compete more directly with StubHub, which eBay purchased in January 2007. Each of the two combinations are compelling – the market leader for ticket sales moving more aggressively into ticket reselling (Ticketmaster also operates Ticketexchange, a smaller service in terms of market share, to resell tickets), going against the online market leader for reselling almost anything.

StubHub to Give Patriots Customer Info in Ticket Scalping Case

Boston - StubHub, an online marketplace for event tickets owned by eBay, has been ordered by a judge to turn over the names of 13,000 customers who bought or sold New England Patriots tickets to the team, which prohibits sales of its tickets for more than $2 over their face value, the Boston Globe reported.

Miley Cyrus is putting on one of the most successful tours of all timeArkansas - Five ticket-sales sites could be in violation of state ticket-scalping laws pertaining to the sale of seats for Miley Cyrus concerts, reports the Associated Press.  Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has demanded to see documents from the sites.  He also believes fake tickets are being listed on sites to gauge value.  One ticket for a Charlotte, North Carolina show was scalped for $2,565.

U.K. Online Ticket Marketplace Viagogo Raises $30 Million

London - Viagogo, a U.K.-based online ticket reseller, has raised $30 million in its third round of funding, from investors including Index Ventures, LVMH chairman Bernard Arault, German media mogul Herbert Kloiber, and international financier Jacob Rothschild.

London - Major record label Warner Music Group announced that it has signed a deal with online ticket reseller Viagogo, providing fans who purchase tickets resold through the service with free downloads, ringtones and videos, Reuters reported.

San Francisco - StubHub, an online secondary marketplace for tickets to various events, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with CBS SportsLine.com to offer its ticket marketplace on the sports portal. San Francisco-based StubHub's partners also include AOL, Knight Ridder and several NFL, NBA and NHL teams.
