European E-Payments Firm ClickandBuy Gets Funds From Intel Capital

Zug, Switzerland - European digital payments firm ClickandBuy announced on Thursday that it has received an undisclosed investment from Intel Capital.

Switzerland's Esmertec Makes Investment in Javaground

Zurich - Esmertec, a Switzerland-based software developer for mobile handsets and embedded devices, announced that it has made a strategic investment in Javaground, a supplier of tools and services that allow the deployment of Java games and applications across a number of models of phones and multimedia devices. Although financial terms were not disclosed, Esmertec did say that it has taken a 19.9% minority stake in Javaground and that it has an option to obtain a controlling interest in the company in 2007. Javaground has offices in Belgium and Silicon Valley.

Switzerland's BridgeCo Wins $13.3 Million In Second Round

Zurich -- BridgeCo, a developer of entertainment network adapters (ENAs) based on embedded, secure software, said it has secured $13.3 million in second round funding. Principal investors are Benchmark Capital, Earlybird, Infineon Ventures and Intel Capital. BridgeCo CEO Christof Heidelberger said the funds will be used to aid the continued expansion of the market for ENAs.
